House on Fire, Mule Canyon, Utah
"House on Fire" is the official name of this ancient Anasazi dwelling/granary deep in Utah's backcountry. The ruins in Mule Canyon are said to be over 800 years old and never restored in any way. The Anasazi (Navajo for "Ancient Ones") inhabited the "Four Corners", where the states of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona meet, from about A.D. 200 to A.D. 1300, leaving a heavy accumulation of ruins, pottery and petroglyphs.
