Ore Mountains, Germany
At this very spot, there used to be an active volcano back in the day, some million years ago. Eventually the lava solidified in the form of a palm frond and today, is rated one of the most important geological sites in Germany. The sunset accompanied by rain, hail and some crazy gusts was worth sitting it out at the mountain top.
